Baljeet Kaliravna was born in Dhiranwas, Haryana, India. As the eldest son in a farming family, he developed a strong work ethic early, managing both academic pursuits and farm responsibilities. His educational path took him from his village school to CRM Jat College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science and discovered a passion for accounting. To advance his career, Baljeet moved to Delhi to pursue a Chartered Accountant designation, making a significant transition from rural life to the vibrant capital city.

Baljeet’s personal life is deeply enriched by his family. He has benefitted from the invaluable guidance of his parents and the steadfast support of his siblings. His achievements are further supported by the unconditional love and encouragement from his wife, Sushila, and their son, Anshul. Their support has been instrumental in his personal and professional growth.

Baljeet began his professional career with a modest clerk internship, earning just 100 rupees per month. This initial experience was crucial in laying the foundation for his future success. After earning his CA degree, he established his own accounting practice, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication, which led to significant career accomplishments.

Seeking new opportunities, Baljeet emigrated to Canada and qualified as a CPA. Overcoming cultural challenges through determination and hard work, he secured an accounting position and advanced to become President and Chief Financial Officer in the capital markets. Alongside his full-time role, Baljeet founded Kaliravna Management Services Inc., offering comprehensive services including corporate and personal accounting, taxation, business, and management consulting.

Baljeet is actively involved in his community, participating in business networking groups and charitable fundraisers. He advocates for the transformative impact of teamwork and strong stakeholder relationships. His professional contributions include serving as Chairman of the Toronto Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and Joint Convener of the IT Study Group for the Northern Region of ICAI.

Baljeet takes great pride in his Haryana roots and Jat heritage. He actively engages with the Jat community, contributing to various initiatives and staying informed about developments in Northern India. His dedication is evident through his roles as a Life Member of the Canadian Jat Association, Vice President of North American Jat Heritage, and a member of the executive team for the Global Jat Convention Canada 2024.
